June arrived, bringing winter with it and our craving for a new adventure. So, we packed our bags and set off for the famous Wave Rock.
Located in Hyden, Western Australia, Wave Rock is about a 4-hour drive from Perth. And I must say, it was definitely worth the drive.
We arrived around 4 PM and went for a walk to explore the area. Can't explain how beautiful the place is, especially the rock formation. Although the wind didn't make things easy, it only added to the sense of adventure.
That night, we camped out, lit a fire, and slept in our car, soaking in the quiet of the night.
The town itself doesn't offer much in terms of activities unless you're a fan of hiking, which is perfect if you love the outdoors. I’d recommend visiting in spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom, and the warmer weather makes everything even prettier and more enjoyable.
As with all my trips, I can't resist collecting maps, parking tickets, and others little keepsakes to later include on my journal.
I used my journal to stick our ticket, a few photos we took there and I loved to draw, or at least try to, the wave and their cute logo. Thought it gave a bit of my art combined with the photos and my little notes about our trip.
I used the stickers from the Wanderers Floral collection as the main theme, thought it matched very well and included some photos stickers from the mini's collection. The photos I printed on my InstaMax Polaroid, that I can print directly from my phone. Everything else was just my pure skills (haha)
What do you think about it? Have you been to Wave Rock?
I would love to know what’s your favorite technique for your travel journals.
